| September 23, 2009 Habanero Acquires 5,400 Contiguous Hectares in Stewart Gold District | |
| Habanero Resources Inc. ("Habanero") (TSX VENTURE: HAO.V) (PINK SHEETS: HBNRF.PK) (FRANKFURT: HRJ.F) wishes to announce that it has acquired approximately 5,400 contiguous hectares (approximately 13,250 acres) in the Stewart Mining Region of BC. This new block of land is in the vicinity of the new Montrose gold discovery announced by Decade Resources Ltd. ("Decade") on its Red Cliff property. Decade recently announced (September 3, 2009) drilling results of 7.3 grams per ton of gold across 28.3 metres and 5.78 grams per ton across 28.4 metres and 7.5 grams per ton gold across 32.5 metres. Habanero is also in the process of attempting to acquire additional acreage in the area. Jason Gigliotti, President of Habanero Resources stated, "This new acquisition is in a region that has garnered recent market attention and management is pleased to add another asset to our existing portfolio. Not only do we have this new acquisition, but a work program is also currently underway on our 100% owned Yukon Gold Prospect."
