Thank you for your interest in Habanero Resources Inc. Habanero is a diversified junior company that is focused on exploration and development of GOLD, SILVER, and LITHIUM prospects. Habanero is one of the largest landholders in the Yukon bordering Underworld Resources and has recently acquired the Haldane Silver prospect in the Keno Hill Silver district of central Yukon. Habanero is now one of the largest land holders within land prospective for lithium in Alberta and has recently acquired 5 GOLD prospects in BC next to recent major GOLD discoveries. Habanero Receives Approval for Silver Project in the Yukon
The Haldane is a structurally controlled, silver vein prospect located within the same geological formation as all the other major silver discoveries in the Keno Hill Silver District in central Yukon. The Haldane Silver Prospect consists of 143 contiguous quartz mineral claims, covering over 7,100 contiguous acres, in one of the most prolific silver producing regions in Canada. Between 1921 and 1988, the Keno Hill silver district produced more than 217 million ounces of silver with average grades of 40.5 ounces per ton silver, 5.6 per cent lead and 3.1 per cent zinc (Yukon government's Minfile database). The historical production grades would rank Keno Hill in the top 3 per cent by grade of today's global silver producers. The Keno Hill district is the second-largest historical silver producer in Canada. The Haldane property is well situated about 25 kilometres west of the main Keno Hill deposits. Mineralization is controlled by northerly trending structures, and consists of galena, sphalerite and tetrahedrite-tennantite in quart-siderite gangue. The best mineralization found to date occurs where the mineralized structures cut the Keno Hill quartzite unit, below the Robert Service Thrust. This is almost identical to the setting for mineralization at the main Keno Hill deposits. Any historical data presented here is not necessarily representative of this prospect itself. Habanero plans to file a 43-101 report once completed. Jason Gigliotti, President of Habanero stated, "This project offers Habanero an opportunity to enter into one of the most prolific silver producing regions in Canada. Silver prices are currently near historic highs and management is optimistic regarding what this prospect may mean for Habanero in the future." Habanero Acquires land bordering Underworld Resources
Habanero Resources Inc. ("Habanero") wishes to announce that it has staked an additional 250 quartz claims bordering Underworld Resources Inc. This new land package is approximately 13,000 contiguous acres bordering Underworld Resources. These new claims border the recently announced discovery (May 27, 2009) by Underworld Resources that stated significant results returning grades of 3.94 g/t Au over 59.9 and 3.59 g/t Au over 98.3 metres. Including these additional claims, Habanero now has staked 350 claims totaling approximately 18,000 acres. Management is planning to mobilize crews to start a detailed work program on these blocks in the near future. Habanero Now Applies for Approximately 650,000 Contiguous Acres of Land Prospective for Lithium
The Government of Alberta has confirmed that Habanero's applications now for 32 contiguous townships (approximately 650,000 acres) prospective for lithium in Alberta, have been received and accepted. According to maps within the Alberta Department of Energy Report by Bachu, Yuan and Brulotte from January 31, 1995, this prospect lies primarily within the South Leduc Formation which has potential for lithium production. A work program is anticipated to commence on this prospect shortly. Once all claims are finalized, Habanero would be one of largest land holders within the area, reported by the Alberta Government Reports, which are prospective for Lithium in Alberta. |
